Chateau Boswell
chateau_boswell_logo.jpg For nearly thirty years Chateau Boswell has produced small lot premium wines. Chateau Boswell Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from our organically grown fruit which showcases the characteristics of our unique terroir. In recent years Chardonnay, and the Jacquelynn Cabernet Sauvignon from the acclaimed Beckstoffer To Kalon vineyard have been added to our annual production of handcrafted wines.

Today, all of the fruit for our Chateau Boswell Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our two small St. Helena estate vineyards. With one hillside parcel, and a second on the valley floor, both vineyards offer a unique soil composition of volcanic ash, red clay, and obsidian. It is the marriage of the fruit from these two vineyards that creates a consistently supple wine with intense dark fruit and complex sensory components. Under the direction of Susan Boswell, Joshua Peeples, and winemaker Luc Morlet, we create a limited production annually of fewer than 400 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Chateau Boswell Estate Vineyard's organically grown fruit. The Estate wine, after twenty seven years, is still sold to only a few select retailers and restaurants with more than ninety percent of the wine going directly to customers on our mailing list.

In addition to the original offerings of Cabernet Sauvignon; Chardonnay and the Jacquelynn label have been added to our annual production in recent years. Our limited production of Burgundian style barrel fermented Chardonnay was released for the first time in 1990 and continues to sell out in just a few weeks after its release. The Spring of 2004 highlighted the release of the first of the Jacquelynn label wines, named after Susan Boswell's daughter and produced by Joshua & Jacquelynn Peeples. Joshua's Jacquelynn wines have been highly praised from the very start offering both the Cuvee Blanc, a Bordeaux Blanc style white, and Jacquelynn Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon. As we celebrate our 27th year, we look forward to sharing our family's passion for great wines for years come.
