Araujo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard 2010
California Wine Advisors - 100 Points
“The Araujo Eisele 2010 has become a truly ravishing wine, benefiting immensely from a few years of cellar time. Built like a thoroughbred, this Cabernet blend is a remarkable experience now and will continue to delight for another decade. Intense notes of voluptuous dark fruit are deftly balanced by plush tannins and perfectly integrated oak. The majestic finish lasts a full minute now with tantalizing notes of espresso, truffles, and exotic herbs. This is one of the finest Napa reds we’ve sampled!” – California Wine Advisors (November, 2017)

Chateau Boswell Estate Proprietary Red 2015
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 100 Points
An early peek at the 2015s reveals what seems to be another incredible year in Northern California, but with small yields, especially for Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but even Bordeaux varietals were down in production. The 2015 Estate Proprietary Red is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, and, as consultant Philippe Melka was telling me, the smallest berries he has seen in his 25 years of working in Napa Valley, with few seeds, so there was a high proportion of skin to juice. An incredibly opaque purple color, gorgeous notes of licorice, blueberry, blackberries, along with a hint of espresso roast, chocolate and spice box are all present in this supple, opulent and voluptuously textured, luscious wine. It should drink well when released and continue to age for at least 20 or more years.

Tor “Black Magic” 2014
International Wine Report - 100 Points
The 2014 'Black Magic' Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterpiece from Tor Kenward. The selection of fruit for this wine comes from the best barrels, regardless of what part of the valley they are from. The result is a simply monumental wine, which delivers seductive aromas of blackberries and dark currants woven together with sweet spices, mocha, graphite, spicebox and hints of floral all coming together and bursting from the glass. On the palate this full-bodied, voluptuous red is well structured and balanced, as it continues to impress with its deep layers and concentrated flavors of ripe dark fruits, sweet spices and mocha, which all cascade across the palate. This profound wine demonstrates a gorgeous textural richness with an opulent mouthfeel and polished tannins leading up to the exceedingly long finish. Tor and winemaker Jeff Ames have achieved something incredibly special and rare with this wine, as they were able to combine remarkable power, depth and concentration, while keeping it all in balance, resulting in a flawless wine. While this is already extreamly delicious, I expect it to continue to evolve gracefully and drink beautifully for decades to come. (Best 2019-2040) - January, 2017 (JD)

Verité “La Muse” 2014
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 100 Points
The 2014 La Muse (2,800 cases ) is a legendary effort. The wine offers an opaque purple color and a gorgeous nose of lead pencil shavings, blackberry, incense, Asian spice, cocoa, plum, and a touch of chocolate and barrique. On the palate, more cassis and blackberry come to the forefront. The wine is unctuous, with adequate acidity and a stunning energy underneath the massive fruit and body. This is a spectacularly fragrant and, at the same time, dense wine, with enough structure (somewhat surprising in this vintage) to last 35-45+ years. The final blend was 88% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec.

Macauley Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon 2014
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 98-100 Points
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, all from this first-growth site in Oakville. It was aged in 100% new Taransaud T5 and Darnajou French oak barrels (which sounds somewhat similar to the Schrader philosophy of élevage). Inky purple in color, with extraordinary richness and unctuosity, magnificent fruit purity, black fruits, blue fruits, some incense, graphite, fruitcake and spice, this is absolutely pedal-to-the-metal, staggeringly rich, incredibly well-balanced and profound Cabernet Sauvignon. It should drink well for 20-25 years, and it will be worth fighting over to latch onto a bottle or two.
